Why book?
Local design touches accent a relaxing adults-only all-inclusive experience, which offers only-oceanview suites, an indulgent spa, and the pool space of your dreams.
Set the scene
Local design touches elevate what could so easily be just-another-all-inclusive here, including the earth-toned Perla Valtierra vases in the lobby bar, Aurelia (named for a local species of jellyfish); a colorful Elena Caltz mural in the Spices buffet dining area; and a genuinely impressive hand-tiled mosaic above the entryway arch, depicting local flora and fauna.
The rooms
Home to 310 recently refreshed suites across eight floors—including 17 first-floor rooms featuring semi-private swim-up pools—the spaces here are ample and airy, with sliding doors allowing you to separate bathrooms from beds for a spot of in-suite privacy. Plus, the under-bed, motion-activated night-lights mean there’s no risk of stumbling to the bathroom in the dark.
Ocean-inspired details dominate—think: seashells and soft furnishings in shades of sandy beige and sea blue—nodding to the resort’s prime location on Mexico’s Caribbean coastline, while your private balcony hot tub is the place to wind down after a hard day of poolside lounging, mini-bar bev in hand. Don’t overlook the hidden drawer above the mini-fridge either, which is stocked with pocketable snack packs.
Just know that if you want to make sure you snag both lagoon and oceanfront views, opt for a room on the fourth floor or above—you’ll have sunrise views over the Caribbean from your balcony, and prime sunset-watching options on the open-air corridor right outside your front door.
Food and drink
Follow your nose and pinball through flavors at the 12 on-site restaurants, bars, and lounges, from classic Mexican in flower-filled Bugambilia (home to the Casa Adelita Yucatecan cooking class and dinner, available for an additional fee) to casual Italian at the beachfront Olio d’Oliva and pan-Asian dishes in SiLú, where you can also add on a sake-tasting, Korean BBQ, or teppanyaki experience via the Culinary Concierge service. (And even if you don’t opt for teppanyaki, the lower-level booths offer prime views over the grill-side shenanigans.) For breakfast, order in-suite or dine on the deck at Pier 12, which dishes up seafood the rest of the day.
People-watchers, unite! You’ll find your spiritual home at the laid-back lobby bar, where you can soak in the goings-on—including regular evening performances, such as lively mariachi sets—book and beer in hand, before grabbing a take-out latte or ice cream from Casa del Café. You might even luck out and get a barista who can knock up a quite frankly spectacular cat-te art design, just because.
The neighborhood/area
Though it’ll be tough to tear yourself away from the speedy service-with-a-smile that characterizes this resort, your location slap-bang in the middle of the Hotel Zone means you’re in prime position for beachfront strolls and curated excursions to the Yucatán Peninsula’s standout spots. With the help of the on-site tour coordinator, you can zip off on any number of add-on adventures, from guided tours to Chichén Itzá—a New 7 Wonder of the World—to dips in nearby cenotes and trips to Tulum.
Worth it?
Yes—there's enough to do on-site that you'll never want to leave. While the spacious pool area offers relaxation right on the beach (plus a swim-up bar and in-water loungers), don’t miss the reinvigorating hydrotherapy circuit at the on-site spa.
