I notoriously overpack clothing every time I travel. That leaves me with little room left for statement shoes and fun accessories in my already-full Monos suitcase (which fits a lot, thanks to its expandable zipper). I always bring Cuyana's Celestia shoulder bag with me—it's the most versatile handbag I own (and the roomiest), and the soft black leather matches nearly every outfit.


Another travel staple I swear by: comfortable flats from Margaux, like these woven Mary Janes. They can handle a long day on my feet, and despite me squishing them at the bottom of my suitcase countless times, they've held their shape surprisingly well. If you, too, overpack, make sure you have a personal item that can hold anything your carry-on can't.
